About Diane

Diane Priebe M.Ed., R.Psych., Certified Hakomi Therapist, Pro-EFW (Equine-Facilitated Wellness Canada) Certified Mental Health Professional

I am a psychologist with training and experience in body-centered/somatic therapy, play therapy, trauma therapies, and my new area of specialization, Equine-Facilitated Wellness (please ask me about this approach, I would be happy to tell you more). I am also a mother of a young adult and a teenager, a wife, and a daughter. I have been drawn to helping people since I was young; I have always felt a great deal of empathy and connection with people. Being an introvert and a highly-sensitive person, I naturally understand and feel other people's emotions and energies. In my work with people, I have been most influenced by Hakomi therapy which is a powerful yet gentle body-centered psychotherapy that works with the whole person and believes in the organicity within each of us. I have also worked with children, adolescents, and their families for many years, mostly with separated and divorced families, but also with other issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma; I love this work because my young clients keep me connected to what is real, true, and good in all of us. I have been in private practice for many years and my office is located in the beautiful Roots on Whyte Building.
